On November 14, 2008, our hearts and prayers went out to thousands of residents of the Oakridge Mobile Home Park in Sylmar where a series of brush fires known as the "Sayre Fire," occurred. This fire caused the destruction of over 630-structures which included approximately 500-mobile homes. It was then that CES was called upon by CST Environmental and the State of California to assist in providing a Construction and Health & Safety Plan and to conduct sampling from various locations over a 20-acre site. After six weeks of dedicated and diligent work by CES employees, we are proud to announce the completion of this plan for the Oakridge Mobile Home Park.
City and County officials announced on 5/05/09, that the cleanup of toxic debris and the park was complete and a total success. CES is elated to have played a key role to ensure that the families, of the just over 100 homes, that survived the fire can finally go home and renew their lives in a safe and healthy environment.
